You really don't get it do you?

He designed and built a an innovative full suspension bike.

Second of all, a 'regular' bike?

People said that bicycle suspension was a silly and expensive fad years ago.

The transmission drives a chain which drives a sprocket on the pivot axle. Then, another sprocket on the pivot axle drives the rear hub.

The distance between the rear hub and pivot of a single pivot does not change so there is no chain stretch.

Personally I think bikes like this are the future of MTB, I really hope that the idea of putting a derailer and cassette on the frame of the bike does not get patented. A high center single pivot with such a drive system gets rid of two of the main problems with high center single pivot (extreme chain growth and pedal bob) while maintaining the simplicity and good axle path of a high pivot bike.

That is so awesome; I would love to have a gearbox bike especially one that will shift while not pedalling.

Ironhorserider, watch the end of the video. They spin the back wheel and shift; the cranks are not moving.

Pretty rad, but it would have been better if you muted the audio that was there or added music.

Most of the money in bikes is low-end. Kids ride them from a-b. What's wrong with Mongoose aiming at both ends of the spectrum and producing high quality and low quality bikes?

Not everyone needs a multi-thousand dollar slopestyle rig...
